About the Department
In our Computer Science department, we initiated the General Course in 2010 and introduced the Honours Course in 2018. These programs typically cover foundational subjects that establish a comprehensive understanding. Encompassed within are fundamental topics such as discrete mathematics, calculus, programming basics, data structures, and algorithms. Students also explore computer organization, operating systems, databases, and networking. Additionally, the curriculum includes essential principles in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Human-Computer Interaction delves into user interface design, while ethics courses address the responsible use of technology. These general subjects aim to equip students with essential knowledge, preparing them for specialized studies and careers in the diverse field of computer science.
