Good food and nutrition vital to good health and wellbeing. Choosing the right food and kowtowing how much to have the healthy eating practices reduces the risk of diseases. The food and nutrition course can improve the nutritional status of populations. The curriculum explores the therapeutic diets in the treatment of chronic illnesses and other nutritional dis orders. There is an opportunity to learn key nutrition assessment techniques and intervention strategies that will assist students in providing comprehensive health care to the patient. They also able to take the responsibilities of children and old people.
The student receive basic theoretical and practical training in different areas like ICDS programme, public health nutrition dietetics and food quality control. So that they will be able to choose one of these as there specialized career in future.
